जब verbs के पश्चात् विभिन्न Prepositions या Adverbial Particles लगा दिए जाते हैं , तब उनका अर्थ बदल जाता है।ऐसे verbs को Phrasal Verbs कहते हैं। 

 

 

 

1.Break into - 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- सेंध लगाना, नकब लगाना  

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- Yesterday a thief broke into my house but he could not steal anything.

 

 

 

2.Get rid of - 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Free oneself from (छुटकारा पाना)

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- I want to get rid of my lazy servant.

 

 

 

3.Come off - 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Take place (होना)

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- The prize distribution came off on Monday last.

 

 

 

4. Go for - 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- to attack (आक्रमण करना)

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- The dog went for the stranger as soon as he entered the house.

 

 

 

5.Fall out - 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Quarrel (झगड़ा करना)

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- Yesterday Ram and Rahim fell out over trifles.
