1. Ascent and Assent

   Ascent (चढ़ाई) - The ascent to Himalaya is a difficult task.

   Assent (स्वीकृति) - He has given his assent to the proposal.

2. Confidant and Confident 

   Confidant (विश्वासपात्र) - Pt. Nehru was a confidant of Gandhiji.

   Confident (आश्वस्त) - He is confident of his success.

3. Root and Route

    Root (जड़ें) - The Oak tree has deep roots.

    Route (मार्ग/रास्ता) - Which is the shortest route to the station ?

4. Fare and Fair

    Fare (किराया) - We pay fare if we travel in a bus.

    Fair (सुन्दर, मेला) - (i) She is fair to look at.
