1.At sixes and sevens- 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- In disorder (बेतरतीब)

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- Your children came into my room and left all my books at sixes and sevens.

 

 

 

2.By leaps and bounds- 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Very rapidly (दिन दूनी रात चौगुनी)

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- India is making progress by leaps and bounds.

 

 

 

3.Chicken-hearted - 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Cowardly (कायर)

 

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- He is so chicken-hearted that he can do nothing adventurous.

 

 

 

4.End in smoke - 

 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- To end in nothing (असफ़ल होना)
