Phrasal Verb

जब verbs के पश्चात् विभिन्न Prepositions या Adverbial Particles लगा दिए जाते हैं , तब उनका अर्थ बदल जाता है।ऐसे verbs को Phrasal Verbs कहते हैं। 

1.Act upon - 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Do according to (के अनुसार कार्य करना)

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- We should act upon the advice of our elders.

2.Bear away - 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Win (जीतना)

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- Our monitor bore away several prizes in the function.

3.Call up - 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Recollect (याद करना)

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- The old man was nervous,so he could not call up the past events of his life.

4.Drop out - 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- To leave (छोड़ देना,हट जाना)

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- Due to poverty,poor students drops out their studies in the middle of the session.

5.Give over - 

 Meaning (अर्थ)- Surrender (छोड़ना)

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग)- He was compelled to give over his claim.
