Phrasal Verb
जब verbs के पश्चात् विभिन्न Prepositions या Adverbial Particles लगा दिए जाते हैं , तब उनका अर्थ बदल जाता है।ऐसे verbs को Phrasal Verbs कहते हैं।
1. Bear out -
Meaning (अर्थ) - to confirm (पुष्टि करना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - The evidence does not bear out the charge against him.
2. Come over -
Meaning (अर्थ) - to overspread (छा जाना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - A look of great fear came over the face of the cashier when he saw a thief with a dagger.
3. Go into -
Meaning (अर्थ) - examine (जाँच करना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - Please go into the matter personally.
4. Keep out -
Meaning (अर्थ) - Check (प्रवेश से रोकना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - He shut the door to keep me out.
5. Set aside -
Meaning (अर्थ) - Nullify (रद्द करना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - The judgement was set aside by the High Court.
