Phrasal Verb

जब verbs के पश्चात् विभिन्न Prepositions या Adverbial Particles लगा दिए जाते हैं , तब उनका अर्थ बदल जाता है।ऐसे verbs को Phrasal Verbs कहते हैं। 

1. Back up - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - support (समर्थन करना)    

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - India backed up Bangladesh in her struggle against Pakistan. 

2. Call for - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - require (चाहना)   

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - Your plan will call for a lot of money.

3. Get about - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - to loiter (इधर - उधर घूमना)    

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - She gets about the whole day.

4. Go in for - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - advocate (समर्थन करना)    

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - Government should go in for the rights of the citizens of the country.

5. Lay on - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - to arrange for (प्रबंध करना)  

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - He took the house on rent when electricity was laid on.
