Interchange of Exclamatory and Assertive Sentences

Part - 2

Rule - अगर Exclamatory Sentences ; 'O' ,'Oh', 'If', 'Would' आदि से आरम्भ हो तो Assertive बनाते समय वाक्य में 'wish'  का प्रयोग करते हैं।  

1. Exclamatory :- If only I could see my mother now !

   Assertive :- I wish that I could see my mother now.

2. Exclamatory :- Would that they were safe !

   Assertive :- I wish that they were safe.

3. Exclamatory :- O  that I were a bird !

   Assertive :- I wish that I were a bird.

4. Exclamatory :- If only I could see my home again !

   Assertive :- I wish that I could see my home again.

5. Exclamatory :- O that I were a child again !

   Assertive :- I wish that I were a child again.
