Phrasal Verb
जब verbs के पश्चात् विभिन्न Prepositions या Adverbial Particles लगा दिए जाते हैं , तब उनका अर्थ बदल जाता है।ऐसे verbs को Phrasal Verbs कहते हैं।
1. Bring round -
Meaning (अर्थ) - होश में लाना, ठीक करना
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - The doctor brought him round in a week.
2. Come up to -
Meaning (अर्थ) - amount to, to be equal to (लगभग होना, समान होना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - His debts come up to five thousand rupees.
3. Get back -
Meaning (अर्थ) - achieve (प्राप्त करना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - She has got back her book.
4. Hold in -
Meaning (अर्थ) - to check (रोकना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - When abused, she could not hold in her anger.
5. Put off -
Meaning (अर्थ) - remove (उतारना)
Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - He has put off his cap.
