Phrasal Verb

जब verbs के पश्चात् विभिन्न Prepositions या Adverbial Particles लगा दिए जाते हैं , तब उनका अर्थ बदल जाता है।ऐसे verbs को Phrasal Verbs कहते हैं। 

1. Break off - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - to end, to discontinue (अचानक रुक जाना)    

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - He broke off in the middle of the speech. 

2. Fall off - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - (कम होना)   

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - The attendance has fallen off today due to heavy rain.

3. Give away - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - distribute (बाँटना)    

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - The President gave away the prizes.

4. Keep in - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - remain inside (घर के अंदर रखना)    

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - I was kept in by a bad cold.

5. Run after - 

 Meaning (अर्थ) - follow (पीछा करना)  

 Use in Sentence (वाक्य प्रयोग) - The dog ran after the cat.
